Responsibilities: Create and execute strategic marketing plan. Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company goals to achieve revenue growth and market penetration. Responsible for sales and margin responsibility for the entire Photonics division to achieve business and product line profitability targets. Direct the sales teams across all product lines, formulate account and product line strategies and develop strategies to penetrate new verticals and regions. Lead the sales team to meet and exceed company revenue goals and profit objectives. Hire and develop team members of the company's sales and marketing organization as well as train them in various best practices needed to reach department and business KPIs. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to ensure long-term success and repeat business. Establish sales goals, metrics, and KPIs to track and evaluate sales performance. Develop and implement strategies for greater penetration of existing and new end markets. Responsible for Digital Marketing, Tradeshows and Print media to support the sales team’s mission to drive growth to realize the full potential of the business. Lead the process to forecast monthly and annual sales and margins, as a partner in the annual budgeting process. Ensure the sales team negotiates terms and conditions that derisk the commercial relationship while driving to secure long-term relationships with key accounts. Use CRM and sales analytics to forecast sales trends, track performance, and adjust strategies as needed. Provide regular sales reports to the executive team, offering insights and recommendations based on data analysis including outstanding bids (quotes), close rates and opportunity pipeline.
Education/experience: Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering related field. 10yrs+ photonics industry sales experience with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role. Experience utilizing customer relationship management software (CRM)
