Description:The HR Director is responsible for ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, developing and implementing HR policies, and overseeing critical employee programs such as FMLA, ADA, and Title IX. This role involves strategic program management, including oversight of employee recruitment, onboarding, and compensation analysis, as well as maintaining accurate HR databases. The HR Director also plays a key role in supporting employee relations and supporting escalated issues while ensuring confidentiality. Additionally, the HR Director contributes to the school’s strategic communication efforts, supervises the HR team, and manages daily departmental operations, including staff evaluations and scheduling.Reporting Relationships:Reports to: Chief Executive OfficerDirect Reports: HR Generalist & HR InternCompensation:This is a 12-month, full-time, exempt position. The annualized salary is $100,000-$125,000 and is dependent upon experience. See a detailed outline of benefits and additional compensation at the bottom of the job description.Essential Functions:Human Resources & Title IX Compliance:Develop, implement, and communicate HR policies including the Employee HandbookStay apprised of legal updates and provide guidance to school ensuring complianceCoordinate all-staff trainings annually for employeesComplete annual ACA reportingProvide annual reporting of personnel and HR data to CDE/CSIOversee and manage all FMLA, ADA, worker’s compensation, unemployment, and other employee-related programsEnsure all background checks meet legal employment and volunteer requirementsServe as K-12 Title IX Coordinator and oversee Title IX reporting and processesConduct prompt and thorough investigations into employee and Title IX concernsHR Strategic Program Management:Collaborate with school leaders and staff to devise strategic initiatives to support overall workplace cultureDesign and oversee equitable employee recruiting and onboarding practicesDevelop relationships with local educator preparation programs for recruitment and student-teaching opportunitiesConduct regular compensation reviews and pay analyses to ensure a competitive compensation structure for all positionsOversee the management of all HR databases (HRIS, benefits administrative system, recruiting database, etc.) and ensure all information contained in all databases is accurateProvide guidance and support with the distribution and collection of school-wide staff surveys and support communication efforts during survey administration and follow-upEmployee Support:Conduct annual benefits review and coordinate annual open enrollment for employeesSupport in the design of employee evaluation structure and build out employee evaluationsOversee the majority of employee relation matters and acts as a liaison for staff questions, concerns, and issues that may ariseStrategic Communication:Contribute to and support the school-wide strategic communication planCraft and disseminate emergency messagesDraft, edit and disseminate community and staff messages as neededSupport with social media content as neededProvide communication consultation and support to staff as neededHR Team Management:Supervise and coordinate department staff, operations, and activities across the entire teamOversee the daily department operationsGuide, evaluate, and participate in the interview and hiring processTrain and support employees in skills development and growthAssist in all elements of departmental needsConduct employee evaluationsReview and approve time off requestsCreate and monitor team schedulesAdditionally:Be present and engage in Pinnacle functions and organizations to build strong relationships with students, parents, peers, and the community.Maintain and deepen current educational learning on an ongoing basis.Regular and timely attendance.Perform other duties as assigned.General Abilities, Knowledge, Qualifications, and Skills:Minimum of (2) years of experience in Human Resources.SHRM, PHR or other HR Certification preferred.Strong computer skills, including Excel, Access, and standard software platforms.Experience in digital forms and records management.Experience in student scheduling and enrollment management.Experience in policy development and implementation.Supervisory Experience.Excellent ability to partner with individuals at all levels of the organization.Demonstrated knowledge of HR best practices and state and federal laws.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills.Growth-oriented approach; always looking for ways to improve professionally.Professional appearance, attitude, and demeanor.Working Conditions:Exposure/Noise Level:
