This role can be hybrid—requiring two days per week in the office in either Boston, MA or Shelton, CT—or fully remote, depending on your preference.
The User Experience and User Interface Product Manager (UX/UIPM) provides a critical role for product development, software development and marketing and market understanding. You are the internal expert on the User experience with the Rocketbook solution and user trends and developments in the market. You have a passion for creating cohesive user experiences with physical and digital dimensions of an integrated solution. You should be able to think strategically about Rocketbook's position in the notebook market while executing detailed design work that enhances the product's unique features. As a sole contributor, you'll need to be self-motivated, highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities and skilled at working across business functions. You are critical support and partner for product design, software development and marketing.
What You'll Do:
User Research and Analysis
- Conduct user research to understand how consumers interact with both Rocketbook notebooks and the app.
- Analyze user behavior trends, competitor developments and identify improvements in the notebook-app ecosystem. Utilize data-driven insights to deliver strategic roadmap for design decisions and product enhancements.
- Leverage data and insights to inform target market and identify key channels for marketing and distribution.
- Optimize the interaction between Rocketbook's erasable notebooks and the supporting app.
- Design intuitive interfaces for scanning, saving, and sharing handwritten notes digitally.
- Develop physical and digital features that leverage Rocketbook's unique position in the reusable notebook subcategory.
- Translate user experience findings into insights for increasing adoption of the app and consumer acquisition for the total Rocketbook system, reducing churn and increasing satisfaction, identifying the solutions (including user interface improvements and features).
- Understand competitor landscape as it relates to physical and digital solutions, rooting enhancement strategy in differentiation and market share assumptions.
Insights and Innovation
- Set strategy for optimization of current and implementation of emerging technologies including smart tagging systems, cloud integration options, AI and OCR into the Rocketbook experience.
- Participate in the product innovation council work to translate user research and market trends into actionable business insights for the reusable notebook market, recommendations for product improvements and market opportunities.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, highlighting Rocketbook's unique value proposition.

What You'll Bring To BIC:
- Up to 5 years of experience in UX/UI design, with products combining physical and digital elements.
- Strong understanding of design principles for both tangible products and mobile applications.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, and prototyping software.
- Experience with researching users and consumers use, attitudes, needs and product interactions.
- Experience in translating design insights into practical development solutions and into business strategy.
- Experience with influencing, participating in or advising on Product Management.
- Interest in emerging OCR and AI technologies and their application to user experience opportunities.
