Social Media Strategist / Content Creator [Freelance] Three Six Zero is looking for an experienced Social Media Manager to support a developing singer-songwriter in the lead-up to an album campaign. This is a six-month contract role focused on shaping and executing the artist’s digital presence across social platforms. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with emerging artists in the pop or indie-pop space and a deep understanding of digital trends, audience engagement, and organic content strategy. Candidates with a track record of successfully growing artist platforms and executing creative marketing initiatives will be prioritized. Responsibilities: Work with Artist Manager and Creative Director to develop social media and content strategy for developing artist Oversee all day-to-day operations of social media accounts including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X for talent Track and aggregate influencer content across social platforms Use data and knowledge of space to identify strategy, while having a deep understanding of what makes sense and feels organic for talent Identify key marketing moments/releases, and assist in executing the initiatives Develop innovative content ideas to unlock new audiences and super-serve existing fanbase Create, update and circulate engaging weekly content calendars Organize and manage artist asset folders Work closely with Head of Digital, artist managers, and label reps, to develop and execute bespoke digital marketing strategies (i.e. influencer, AI and Web3 activations, D2C initiatives, or data-capture competitions) and content for artist release campaigns and tour promotions, plus other marketing efforts as required Skills/Qualifications: Must be based in New York City A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with developing artists, especially in pop/indie pop Confident working directly with artists, with a deep understanding of the way they think and work Familiar with scheduling tools, whilst able to react to last-minute changes, new trends, or ad-hoc content A team player, with the ability to also work independently and be accountable for own client projects Confident with photo/video/audio editing software In-depth knowledge of social media platforms and algorithms, digital trends, and new technology Understands each stage of a music release campaign and how to optimize audience engagement Proven success in unlocking new audiences and super-serving existing fanbases Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Contract Job function Art/Creative #J-18808-Ljbffr
