work opportunity, ideal for someone with 2+ years full-time professional B2C marketing experience in a law firm or other fast-paced legal or professional services setting, who is able to hit the ground running by April. The successful candidate will be a dynamic self-starter with strong writing skills, an aptitude for digital marketing tools and platforms, creativity in visual content development, CRM experience, and proficiency with social media management and backend website and HTML basics. Marketing & Communications Specialist
is a key cog in the firm’s business operations wheel. This full-time, nonexempt position plays a crucial role in executing comprehensive B2C legal marketing functions, through activities that enhance the firm’s online and industry presence and support its business development and other mission and growth objectives. Reporting to the Managing Partner and working in collaboration with the Business Development Manager, the Marketing & Communications Specialist is a generalist position, encompassing several disciplines including content marketing, digital campaigns, social media management, professional recognition, event promotion, public relations, brand management, collateral design, and more. This role involves significant writing, editing, and enhancement of a variety of internal and external communications, including social media posts, digital platforms and web content, award submissions, e-newsletters, and press releases, as well as facilitating the firm’s public profile and online presence. This is a flexible hybrid position, with in-office work required on average 1-2 workdays/week and as needed for occasional events, and otherwise allowing for work from home. Responsibilities/Duties Develop engaging and brand-enhancing social media content, and manage posting and monitoring processes for various social media channels. Maintain, produce, and update content for firm websites and email newsletters. Interface with outside web development. Assist attorneys with developing and promoting thought leadership content. Write and format content with speed, attention to detail, and accuracy. Thoroughly proofread and edit all content and ensure consistency and adherence to firm brand voice, tone, and style guidelines. Analyze content performance metrics, including engagement, traffic, and conversions, and adjust strategies to improve results. Interface with SEO specialists. Assist with strategy development and supporting materials for digital marketing campaigns in conjunction with Business Development projects. Provide support for lead tasks related to planning, budgeting, execution, tracking, and analytics reporting. Manage recognition program application submissions and results tracking. Support attorney self-promotion: design business cards, coordinate professional headshots, facilitate networking opportunities, promote speaking engagements. Draft and blog press releases. Serve as gatekeeper to the firm’s collateral by managing brand guidelines, document templates, letterhead, imagery, logo usage, swag, and similar. Stay up-to-date with industry technologies and trends, digital marketing innovations, ethics rules and best practices to keep the firm's digital presence competitive and effective, and in compliance. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing or communications, or other related field (e.g., English, journalism, graphic design, public relations) 2+ years of hands-on B2C marketing experience in a law firm or other fast-paced legal or professional services setting, in a role with project management responsibilities. Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills. Highly attentive to detail and meticulous with work product. Self-starting, team-minded, flexible attitude. Ability to successfully work autonomously with minimal supervision, as well collaboratively in a team environment. Experience effectively coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders, and juggling multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to reliably commute to our Washington, D.C. location

design software
including, but not limited to: Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop and Illustrator, Canva. Experience with Google Analytics, SEO, and Google Tag Manager. Experience with CRMs for professional services firms. Experience supporting paid media campaigns on Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and other similar platforms, and navigating CRM integration. Familiarity with basic HTML. Awareness of CAN-SPAM, CCPA, website accessibility, state attorney advertising ethics rules, and other marketing compliance statutes and regulations. Ability to assemble a target list and pitch reporters. Knowledge of best practices for formatting and presenting textual, graphic, and A/V content for websites, mobile applications, and other digital media applications. Compensation Hourly (minimum 40 hours per week); Non-Exempt Anticipated Base Rate: $31–$38/hour (commensurate with experience) Time-and-one-half overtime pay Eligible for merit-based bonuses Benefits:
