Position Overview The primary responsibility of the UX Designer is to design the user experience for a suite of enterprise applications for casino management. This position is a foundational part of a rapidly growing team and works together with business and product stakeholders to research user needs, build interactive prototypes and application designs, and work with Software Engineers to convert these designs to functional enterprise applications. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures. All Las Vegas Sands Corp. Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborate with users, product and project managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to design best-in-class casino management software. Design visual concepts, user flows, personas, journey maps, wireframes, interface mockups and prototypes for enterprise applications. Test and iterate on designs based on user feedback and data analytics. Contribute to artifacts including information architecture and design documents. Contribute to, curate, and evolve an enterprise design system. Perform all job responsibilities with limited direct supervision. Perform job duties in a safe manner. Attend work as scheduled on a consistent and regular basis. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
At least 21 years of age. Proof of authorization to work in the United States. Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy. 5+ years of professional experience as a UX designer building enterprise software. Experience in responsive mobile-first UX and UI planning and design. Understanding of design best practices for modern web applications. Strong visual design sense and command of typography, visual hierarchy and user interaction. Understanding of information architecture, with experience drafting user flows and wireframes. Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to balance user needs with business goals. Experience with using and informing design systems. Experience with UX design and prototyping tools like Adobe XD, Sketch or Figma. Experience with graphic design tools like Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Experience localizing interfaces and launching multi-national products preferred. Working knowledge or experience in HTML/CSS preferred. Experience designing for frameworks such as React preferred. Familiarity with Agile and Lean methodologies preferred. Jira Experience preferred. Some working knowledge of user research process and methodologies preferred. Physical Requirements
Physically access assigned workspace areas with or without reasonable accommodation. Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, and dust.
