Job Summary/Basic Function
NOTE: This position can be filled at any level of the approved career ladder, depending on candidate qualifications.
The Associate UI/UX Developer supports application development and general web development across the campus. This position requires that the person be proficient in client-side web technologies and have a working familiarity with server-side web technologies. The UI/UX Developer leads in ensuring that users have an intuitive experience when engaging with campus digital services through engagement with the latest technologies, WCAG standards, compelling graphics and design, and mobile first principles. This position collaborates closely with campus web developers and web designers in setting consistent standards and experiences across websites and web applications.
Required Qualifications
Required:
Associate's degree or equivalent work experience (2 years) in related field1 years of UI/UX design and development experience or educationBasic experience programming/coding HTML, CSS, JavaScriptSome experience in Photoshop, Illustrator or equivalent graphics programsPreferred Qualifications
Preferred:
A basic understanding of web design, user testing, and usabilityBasic knowledge of web accessibility and coding semanticsProficient technical learnerA successful candidate will be willing to
