Position Description:
The Project Manager provides post-sales management of the processes delivering quality-driven installation, configuration, and commissioning of customer A/V systems.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of projects as they relate to the installation, configuration, and commissioning of high-end audio-visual systems at various types of venues.
- Drives success of project teams:
- Exceptional communication with customers and stakeholders during project lifecycle.
- Manages multiple projects at various stages simultaneously using provided tools.
- Manages projects to key metrics, as determined by the company.
- Drive projects within budget, utilizing Visionality's project management systems.
- Ensures projects are deployed using Visionality's standards and processes.
- Balances equipment delays, scheduling, and project timelines.
- Directly manages project managers, project coordinators, and installation teams.
- Coordinate tasks leading up to, planning for, and executing a job installation schedule.
- Manage the ordering of equipment to be delivered per schedule.
- Work with warehouse to receive equipment, record serial numbers, and stage equipment for projects.
- Work with engineering to make sure documentation and programming are complete prior to install.
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure a proper pre-build and testing process occurs
- Manage customer, installation crews, and commissioning teams to optimize schedule.
- Account for, and directly manage hours expenditures, cost expenditures, and other key metrics.
- Manage installation crew's field related problems.
- Assists in-field staff with manufacturer issues and commissioning issues.
- Manage hours and scope of job.
- Manages the QC processes of jobs.
- Manages conflicts (interpersonal and customer-related) to amicable conclusions without escalations to executive staff.
- Performs proper job closure:
- Ensures "voice of the customer" and "conditions of satisfaction" were delivered, and sign-off obtained.
- Hour, equipment, and expense logging.
- Final job cost analysis.
- Follows Visionality's project closure procedures.
- Monitor and verify inventory levels for products which are purchased in bulk.
- Manages warehouse to maintain a clean, well-organized staging area that is free from safety obstructions and debris.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree desired, coupled with PMP (in-progress acceptable) or Six Sigma experience/certifications.
- Posses an exceptionally professional, clean-cut, look and demeanor, as the face of the company to the customer.
- Excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and computer skills.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning tools (project management systems).
- Extensive experience with varying project management methods and systems:
- Adaptive project framework.
- Lean Six Sigma methodologies; experience with Kaizen and Kanban setups a plus.
- Mainline Six Sigma methodologies; ASQ Green Belt a plus.
- Gantt and PERT charting, along with other visual management methods.
- Hybrid project management; generally engineering quality methods delivering into direct project methods.
- Strong understanding of Excel and accounting systems, especially AP/AR processes related to projects.
- Industry understanding:
- Direct audio-visual experience preferred, but not required.
- Experience with construction and related trades preferred, but not required.
- Personnel management experience:
- Experience managing installation teams remotely.
- Experience managing non-direct report personnel for deliverables and milestones.
- Able to life 50 pounds, climb ladders, load vehicles, and assist as needed.
- Able to travel (mostly in-state 10-25%).
- Able to pass back ground checks and a drug screen.
