Base pay range $75,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr Overview: Veronica Beard is seeking a passionate and creative Print Designer to join our team. The role will work closely with the Design and Raw Material departments, researching and developing the print direction for each season, reporting to the Design Director, Soft Wovens RTW in our NYC office. Responsibilities: Research and develop print direction for each season, working closely with Design Director and SVP of Design as well as other cross-functional design directors setting company-wide print direction. Consider shifting market trends while developing seasonal signatures for the brand that can span across categories and end-uses, sourcing inspiration from print houses, trend forecasters, market research and vintage inspiration. Meet with print vendors to source artwork, coordinating returns and archiving borrowed headers and bought samples. Trace and develop artwork, create repeats and color ups, managing freelancers where necessary. Meet with design teams to create artwork per category RTW, cut & sew, sweaters, and jeans, assuring recolors are ready for presentations at work throughs and updating post-feedback. Launch strike offs directly with mills and work closely with design directors and fabric managers to ensure execution of SMS yardage. Launch production ready artworks for bulk, creating necessary re-worked artwork as needed for optimized consumption and pricing targets. Update prints in PLM palettes. Support print direction for licensees and additional categories such as accessories. Act as a support to colorist. Qualifications: 4+ years of Print Design and CAD experience. Must be proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Excellent eye for color and detail with a high level of taste. Must be driven and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Interest in vintage and historical design, textiles a plus. Experience in luxury, heritage, or advanced contemporary brands a plus.
