Position Summary
Omega CDC is seeking a contracted Internal Marketing/Communication Specialist to serve as a
central point of contact for managing communication efforts, ensuring effective information
dissemination across Northwest Dayton, and aligning key messaging with Omega CDC and the
Northwest Dayton Partnership's initiatives. This 20-30 hour per week role will support internal
and external communication, brand consistency, and strategic outreach to enhance community
engagement and organizational awareness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Internal & External Communications
o Develop and implement internal communication strategies to keep staff,
stakeholders, and partners informed and engaged.
o Manage Omega CDC's marketing and communication channels, including
newsletters, website updates, and social media.
o Serve as the primary liaison for coordinating messaging and branding efforts with
community partners.
o Support the Director of Operations in ensuring all marketing materials align with
organizational branding and messaging guidelines.
o Oversee the creation of promotional content, including press releases, flyers, and
event materials, ensuring timely distribution.
o Track and analyze communication metrics to measure the impact of outreach efforts.
• Partnership & Initiative Support
o Collaborate with Learn to Earn Dayton to streamline and centralize updates on the
Northwest Dayton Partnership's Power of Place Investable Plan.
o Develop consistent key messaging that aligns with the overarching goals of Omega
CDC and the Northwest Dayton Partnership.
o Ensure that all communication efforts reinforce the impact of Power of Place and
Omega CDC's role within it.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
• Proven experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.
• Strong writing, editing, and content development skills.
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and email marketing software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with nonprofit organizations, community partnerships, or public
initiatives is a plus.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
• Work is performed primarily in an office environment.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
