Job Title: Production Artist / Graphic Designer
Location: Centerville, OH | In-Office (1 remote day outside peak season)
Do you love bringing visual concepts to life, cleaning up layouts, and getting the details just right? Let’s talk!
Write On Target, a strategic communications firm, is seeking a Graphic Designer/Production Artist to join our creative team. In this role, you’ll design visual communications that engage audiences and elevate our clients’ brands across print, digital, and web platforms.
You’ll collaborate closely with account leads and creative leadership to update, adapt, and finalize marketing materials for a wide range of clients. One minute you might be adjusting a benefit guide for a healthcare client, and the next you’re prepping a digital poster for an industrial brand. Bonus points if you can navigate HTML emails or make a quick update in WordPress!
What You’ll Do:
- Take existing designs and adapt them into polished print and digital deliverables (brochures, flyers, postcards, email graphics, posters, digital signs, etc.)
- Execute layout changes, apply copy edits, create callouts or icons, and ensure all design updates align with brand and template standards
- Use Dreamweaver and HTML to help create email communications; emails are built in Dreamweaver and sent via Outlook
- Collaborate with print vendors and mail houses to prep files and ensure production quality
- Occasionally support internal marketing projects for Write On Target, including light web or social content
- Contribute to a lean, fast-moving creative team where deadlines matter and variety keeps things interesting
What You Bring:
- 5–7 years of experience in a production artist or graphic design role
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Experience with Dreamweaver and HTML (or interest in learning)
- Knowledge of print production processes; ability to prep press-ready files and work with vendors
- A collaborative mindset and appreciation for design that supports strong writing
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- A portfolio that showcases strong layout and production work
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with SharePoint, WordPress, or HubSpot
- Ability to create basic animations or GIFs
- Familiarity with editing PDFs or creating interactive PDFs
Why You’ll Love It Here:
- In-office culture with one work-from-home day outside of peak season
- Summer hours with shortened Fridays during June & July
- Fun, laid-back environment with a flexible dress code—we’re serious about the work, not your outfit
- Woman-owned, collaborative, and values-driven team
- Dog-friendly office (really!)
- You’ll work on a variety of national brands—every day is different
- Full and robust benefits package (insurance, 401K, holidays, PTO)
