Overview
We’re looking for an Applied Science Manager to lead the CRM Measurement Applied Science team. In this role, you and your team will be responsible for improving the way we test and measure the effectiveness of marketing communications via email, push, SMS, and in-app channels. Your work will inform best practices in the use of our channels to reach riders, drivers, eaters, couriers, and more.
Problems we’re working on include:
What information or promotions do our users find the most engaging and compelling? How and when should we send these messages?
Do our marketing campaigns compete with one another for the attention of our audiences, and how can we adjudicate among them?
What is the cost to our business when a user unsubscribes from marketing communications?
What You'll Do
Design and analyze experiments on our email, push, and SMS campaigns to estimate the impact of our marketing comms – campaign-by-campaign and holistically – on user behavior, sentiment, and perceptions.
Support Uber’s global teams of marketers by discovering and answering open questions about marketing effectiveness.
Collaborate with applied scientists in the Paid Marketing and Marketplace teams to refine our statistical methods and disseminate best practices.
Partner with Product and Engineering teams to enhance instrumentation and infrastructure for experimentation and measurement.
