Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager, Event Planning (Event Coordinator / Event Project Manager) to join our client’s team, one of the US’s largest Security companies.

The client is looking for a candidate with event planning and project management experience who is located in or near Miami, FL and can work on-site at the Miami Marlins stadium and periodically in the Boca Raton office. This is a three-month contractor role with the potential for extension based on budget.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of event planning/project management experience.
• Located in Miami to assist with event coordination at the Miami Marlins stadium and come into the Boca Raton office periodically.
• Must be available to work 40 hours a week, including most weekends.
• This is a three-month contractor role with the possibility to extend based on budget.
• Work 3-4 days during the work week to allow for 2 days off a week, which will vary based on the MLB baseball schedule (weekends are a requirement).

Responsibilities:

• Leadership Meeting – May include research projects based on specific needs/details, such as sourcing stage furniture, researching swag, and assisting with creative element oversight.
• Marlins – May include management of weekly reporting, promo item inventory, verifying staffing schedule, and maintaining activation.
• Circle of Excellence – May include project management assistance, research assistance, and copy review.
• NNO – May include weekly volunteer list requests and distribution, updating pre-event reporting, and preparation for October NNO.
• Pop-up Events – May include project management assistance, budget tracking, sourcing promo items, and assistance with shipping logistics.
• Operations/Logistics – May include invoice management, Certificate of Insurance oversight, and research for improvements/recommendations.
• The location of the work will be a mix of weekend work during home games in Miami, in-office work in Boca Raton, and some remote work. The contractor doesn’t necessarily need to live in Miami proper but should be okay with regular travel to the area.
• The shift will vary based on weekend home games.
