Up Closets, a leading provider of custom closet solutions is seeking a skilled closet designer/consultant to join our team. We specialize in transforming spaces with stylish, functional, and personalized solutions. Our goal is to help our clients maximize their space and elevate their home organization with beautifully crafted closets and systems. We are looking for a talented, customer-focused Closet Designer to join our growing team.
Job Description:
As a Closet Designer, you will work directly with our clients to create customized closet and organization solutions that reflect their needs, style, and space. You will play a key role in delivering personalized designs that maximize functionality while maintaining an upscale, luxurious aesthetic. This role supports the Spring/Cypress areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-home consultations with clients to understand their space, needs, preferences, and budget.
- Provide professional guidance and recommendations on layout, materials, and organization solutions.
- Create detailed, custom closet and organization designs, making adjustments as needed based on client feedback.
- Present proposals and price estimates to clients and collect payments for approved closet purchases.
- Maintain a strong focus on both design aesthetics and practical functionality.
- Collaborate with the installation team to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
- Stay current with the latest trends in interior design, storage solutions, and materials.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients, offering excellent customer service throughout the design process.
- Support sales efforts by providing design input and visual presentations for potential clients.
Qualifications:
- Experience with in-home sales or client relationship management.
- Proficiency with basic computer skills including web base applications and MS Office
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse clients.
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for design aesthetics.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of current design trends and space optimization strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in closet design, interior design, or space planning (experience in custom closets is a plus).
- Familiarity with the construction or custom cabinetry.
- Proficiency with CAD software, 3D design tools, and other design platforms.
