ABOUT YOU As Senior Baggage Design Manager, you excel at navigating complex systems, balancing security, efficiency, and passenger experience while ensuring seamless coordination between Massport, TSA, and airlines. With a deep understanding of airport screening technologies, regulatory requirements, and operational needs, you anticipate challenges and drive practical solutions. Your ability to build strong relationships, manage projects, and oversee technical components allows you to streamline decision-making and optimize baggage and screening systems. Adaptable and forward-thinking, you stay ahead of industry changes, ensuring that facilities are designed, maintained, and operated at the highest standards while providing a smooth, secure travel experience. What you will do:
Serve as the primary liaison with TSA, coordinating all aspects of baggage and passenger screening operations. Assess current and future screening demand to optimize system efficiency and ensure capacity meets operational needs. Maintain a deep understanding of baggage and passenger screening systems, including technical, operational, and regulatory aspects. Collaborate with Massport, TSA, and airlines to align planning, design, construction, and operations of screening facilities. WHAT YOU OFFER
Degree in mechanical or industrial engineering. 10+ years’ experience with conveyance systems in an industrial or aviation setting, including 5 years in a supervisory role. Knowledge of sophisticated control systems, particularly programmable logic controllers. Experience in airport baggage systems, terminal operations, and TSA regulations.
