Interior Design Sales Professional

The Design Consultant works closely with customers in various settings to create personalized design solutions, including space planning, fabric coordination, product selection, and overall project design. Success is measured by developing tailored designs and achieving sales goals in a flexible, relationship-based selling environment. Some projects may require teamwork. Performance is evaluated based on categories such as teamwork, customer service, communication, decision-making, project development, presentation, technical skills, and benchmarks like Minimum Monthly Sales, Home Calls, Accent Sales, Softgoods Sales, Be-Backs, PI, Close Ratio, and participation in the Ethan Allen Trade Program. Must be skilled in social media to promote Ethan Allen’s brand, following the company's Social Media Policy. Compensation is incentive-based, determined by commissions, with expectations to meet or exceed sales and other benchmarks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Create design solutions aligned with customer preferences and budgets. Sell Ethan Allen’s products and services. Represent the brand professionally in all customer interactions, including in-home consultations and store visits. Utilize grassroots marketing and social media platforms to grow the business. Educate customers on the free design services offered. Stay current on design and color trends. Coordinate with the team to ensure excellent service before and after sales, including order updates. Participate in marketing and training programs. Educate customers on financing options. Maintain the design center’s portfolio. Use corporate systems and technology efficiently for designing and customer service. Enter orders accurately using POS systems. Maintain a neat and organized work environment. Collaborate with leadership to develop and monitor marketing and business plans. Leverage technology and social media to build client relationships and promote the brand. Perform additional duties as required. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a design-related field, with at least one year of practical interior design experience. Broad knowledge of interior design and sales techniques. Proficiency with online sales and design tools. Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills. Understanding of social media and grassroots marketing; proven experience preferred. Valid driver’s license or alternative transportation means. Intermediate skills in digital floor planning; experience with 3D applications and visualization tools is a plus. Willingness to learn new technologies. Compensation:
Minimum annual draw of $68,640, with additional incentive compensation based on sales, with potential total earnings of $100,000 or more annually. Benefits:
