Director of Sales and Marketing
is responsible for driving the overall growth of the senior membership, including the direction, supervision, monitoring, and overall performance. This position is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with contracted FMOs and IPAs in preparation and implementation of Verda Healthcare’s annual strategic plan focused on growth and retention in Maricopa County, Arizona, and future expansion into other states and markets as well. Essential Functions Annual strategic and benefit planning for current and potential new AZ markets. Measure, track, and report sales productivity, quality, and effectiveness. Present, train, and develop internal staff and external partners. Oversight and development of senior membership growth and retention. Plan and manage IPAs and FMOs regarding achievement of enrollment goals. Identify and develop relationships with individuals and organizations that influence the buying behavior of our target consumers. Conduct outreach activities in accordance with all the rules and regulations set forth by CMS and the State of Arizona. Actively engage in the community for Verda Health Plan of Arizona visibility and organic growth. Responsibilities: Identifies, contracts, and oversees all outside Agent and Broker contractual relationships. Conduct sales calls with FMOs/agents to assist with any questions and visit Medical Groups and/or contracted Physicians with agents. Provides periodic sales and trend reports and measures overall performance. Works closely with the Enrollment and Member Experience Department to ensure that applications are processed correctly and retention efforts are maximized. Provides presentations in an educational manner to clients on the benefits and the enrollment/application process. Works closely with contracted providers and serves as the chief liaison between the health plan and contracted providers on marketing and sales-related issues. Minimum Qualifications AZ Life, Accident and Health license. Prior Health Plan Sales Experience. Familiarity with the Arizona market. Experience in Start-Up Environment and/or New Markets. Bachelor’s Degree Required. Integrity and Trust. Functional/Technical Skills. Excellent Written/Oral Communications. Critical Analytical Thinker. Setting & Achieving sales targets. Full-time · Paid time off (vacation, holiday, sick leave) Schedule: This role is remote for the time being until our AZ office opens in late 2025, and will be full-time onsite (100% in-office). Hours of operations: 9am – 6pm Standard business hours Monday to Friday/weekends as needed. Occasional travel may be required for meetings and training sessions. Ability to commute/relocate: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (Required). PHYSICAL DEMANDS Regularly sit/walk at a workstation in an office or cubicle setting. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds. * Other duties may be assigned in support of departmental goals.
