Title: Telecommunications Project Manager Location: Brooklyn, NY (Hybrid) Duration: 6+ Months Notes: HYBRID: 3 days per week onsite at 2 MetroTech Center, Brooklyn, NY 11201, and 2 days remote. Description: Manage complex, mission-critical IT projects from development to production, including software development, hardware implementation, interface development, user interfaces, user integration, and acceptance testing. Oversee project planning, assign tasks with deadlines, maintain schedules, mitigate slippages, and conduct research. Identify resources and manage project staffing, equipment, and other resources effectively. Coordinate activities with agencies and telecommunications vendors. Oversee implementation of ESInet infrastructure for the PSAP. Work closely with executive leadership and internal/external stakeholders. Tasks: Provide project management expertise to technical network SMEs for deploying NG9-1-1 systems and enterprise monitoring systems. Assist in development and engineering drawings, technical specifications, and custom configurations to meet NG9 requirements. Coordinate with engineering teams on hardware, software, and monitoring system implementations. Develop and review project schedules and efforts using best practices. Conduct weekly updates with management on risks, issues, and deliverables. Manage projects throughout their lifecycle, guiding teams and monitoring progress. Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders. Oversee blended teams of IT consultants and staff. Integrate interrelated Public Safety projects with NextGen911. Mandatory Skills/Experience: At least 8 years of project management experience in analog/IP-based telephony recording for emergency networks. 5+ years of vendor management experience. PMP certification is highly desired. Experience with IP systems, Networking, SQL, Security, Telephony, TDM, VoIP, and CTI. Experience managing software development through SDLC. Proficiency in gathering end-user requirements and delivering solutions. Excellent communication skills for interfacing with management and delivering presentations. Strong project management and critical thinking skills, with ability to work with technical and managerial staff. Solid technical experience in large-scale emergency services environments is highly desired. Seniority level
