CMS and Frontend Web Developer - REQ # 1213
Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC is looking for a Web Developer in Suwanee, GA.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position involves a balance of content management within the CMS and hands-on frontend development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining content in the CMS (Content Management System) that feeds our company websites. This role requires hands-on experience with traditional and headless Content Management Systems, as well as a foundational understanding of frontend development to assist with frontend code updates.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
Web Content Management:
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure up-to-date information is reflected on the website, ensuring consistency, adherence to brand guidelines, and web design standards.
- Utilize CMS to manage and update website content, including pages, articles, images, and other media.
- Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and search engine rankings.
- Ensure the content is free of errors, optimized for performance, and accessibility.
- Focus on creating a positive user experience by ensuring the website is easy to navigate and find information.
- Conduct regular content audits to identify gaps, redundancies, and areas for improvement.
- Monitor website traffic, user behavior, and content performance to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
Frontend Support:
- Assist in styling and layout adjustments, adhering to accessibility and responsive design standards.
- Monitor and observe frontend performance metrics including load times, error rates, and user interactions. Utilize tools like Google Analytics, New Relic, or similar, to ensure optimal performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Willing to travel up to 20% for various Company meetings and training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Professional experience using traditional CMS platforms like WordPress, Drupal, or similar.
- Familiarity with headless CMS environments and workflows.
- Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0).
- Basic knowledge of frontend development, including:
- Modern CSS (e.g., variables, functions, Flexbox, Grid)
- JSX/JavaScript
- Responsive and mobile-first design principles.
- Image optimization for web, including pixel-dense devices.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot content and minor frontend code issues independently.
- Team player demonstrating METUS core values including a desire to win together, deliver excellence, drive sustainability, focus on execution and learn continuously.
The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $80,000 and $110,000/year however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including target bonus plans and discretionary awards. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents. Employees will also receive 80 hours of vacation per year, 56 hours of paid sick leave annually, and 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, depending on hire date. Employees may also take up to 12 weeks of paid or unpaid [parental/disability/emergency/etc.] leave, if eligible.
