First Baptist Church of Tarrytown is seeking a worship leader to help lead God’s people into a deep place of worship through the music ministry. We are a growing congregation who enjoys creativity. Our church is a family. Our preaching is biblical and creative. Our mission is to reach our community for Christ. We are looking for a Christian man or woman who is teachable and willing to teach others. This person should also be in agreement with our Christian beliefs. Our philosophy of worship music is “honoring the past, while moving to the future.” The ideal leader will serve alongside the senior pastor to craft a worship service. We are praying for someone who is: Competent
– is able to play either a guitar or keyboard, and has an understanding of music. Chemistry
– is able to work as a team with the church, and believes in servant leadership. Character
– is a Christian believer who is growing in his or her faith. While experience is welcomed, we would be more than happy to work with someone wanting to gain experience. FBC Tarrytown has a Sunday service on Sundays at 10:30 am. The position pays $200 a week, which includes the Sunday service and possibly midweek practices.
