Position Summary:
The Librarian oversees the daily operations of the campus library and media services, demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of the library area, its relationship to other programs and the skills to work cooperatively with staff to plan, develop and implement the program. The Librarian will provide leadership in evaluation and selection of print, non-print and computer information and will be responsible for circulation; they will also work cooperatively with teachers and will provide instruction for the benefit of students to promote the intelligent use of information. The Librarian ensures a positive and inviting atmosphere conducive to learning in a variety of styles through established ethical and professional practices.
Training and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Library Science (preferred) or completion of at least 18 credit hours of transcripted coursework in Library Science, to include multimedia computer use pertinent to library management and curriculum integration
- Previous experience in a similar position
Licensing/Certification Requirements:
- Arizona teaching certificate with Arizona Library endorsement
- Valid DPS fingerprint clearance card
