Overview
Organization: This multifaceted leadership position involves oversight of various district functions, including managing grant writing efforts, communications, community partnerships, and leadership of the Tillamook Education Foundation. The Director will oversee and manage key initiatives, collaborate with district staff, and strengthen relationships with community stakeholders to enhance the district’s operations and achieve its mission. QUALIFICATIONS:
A variety of soft skills and experience may be required for the following role Please ensure you check the overview below carefully. ● Must hold or be eligible to hold a TSPC Oregon Administrator License or have similar leadership experience with public or private agencies. ● Minimum of 3 years administrative and/or leadership experience. ● Must possess essential leadership qualities: Trust, Communication, Vision, and a District-wide perspective. ● Experience in grant writing and budget development, management, and reporting. ● Good communication and organization skills, including the ability to develop and manage internal and external communications, including website and social media. ● Strong ability to facilitate group processes. ● Commitment to quality education and fostering growth and success across the District. RESPONSIBILITIES: Research, prepare, and submit proposals for various funding opportunities. Manage grant records and ensure that deadlines and deliverables are met. Develop and provide timely progress and final reports for funders and stakeholders. Work closely with district staff to identify and pursue funding aligned with district needs. Communications: Develop and implement a strategic communication plan to promote TSD9’s mission and goals. Oversee internal communications (staff memos, newsletters) and external communications (press releases, media outreach). Manage district social media accounts and websites, ensuring accurate, timely, and engaging content. Advise district departments on effective communication strategies and materials. Conduct surveys to assess district needs and improve communication strategies. Represent TSD9 at community meetings, events, and conferences. Foundation Management: Oversee operations of the Tillamook Education Foundation, including managing meetings and events. Collaborate with the Superintendent and other leadership to drive foundation activities and initiatives. Partnerships: Cultivate and maintain relationships with community businesses, agencies, and organizations to generate support and resources for district programs. Identify new opportunities for traditional and non-traditional partnerships that benefit TSD9. Additional Duties: Perform other duties as directed by the Superintendent. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: ● Estimated start date – March 17, 2025 ● 1.0 FTE – 220-day contract ● Salary and benefits as outlined in the Agreement between Tillamook School District 9 and Administrators. ● District-paid employee contribution to PERS (Public Employees Retirement System) APPLICATION PROCESS:
