Description and Requirements
The Lenovo North America Communications Team brings Lenovo’s products and services to life through engaging content and storytelling across public relations, internal communications, executive communications, social media, and video production.
We are looking for a communications superstar who challenges the ordinary, seeks to innovate, and can advance brand storytelling in North America. The team focuses on engagement, inspiration and connection to enhance Lenovo’s corporate reputation, its products, and its executives as leaders in technology innovation and further establish Lenovo as the brand of choice among businesses and consumers.
This role will be directly responsible for leading some of our largest and most impactful PR and communications campaigns and engages with various North America stakeholders such as media, consumers, ITDMs, analysts, partners, Lenovo employees, investors, regulators, and policymakers.

Key Responsibilities:
This position will lead public relations for several major campaigns and initiatives within the North America market
Lead/support with North America press events, brand storytelling, content creation, and thought leadership across our business groups in the geography
Co-manage the relationship with PR agencies to develop earned media pitch strategies and coordinate and staff executive interviews with press
Leverage existing tools to track PR performance and develop reports measuring effectiveness of PR campaigns to present to senior leadership
Management of budget and associated operational activities for Comms Team
Prepare and present comms updates on monthly marketing interlock calls and other status calls as needed
Build brand reputation for Lenovo and its full pocket-to-cloud portfolio
Advise key business leaders how to effectively communicate with the media
Align with communications colleagues within the company to ensure consistent storytelling across geographies and localize global stories for the North America market
Work with marketing managers to build brand awareness and develop customer-centric stories around the products and verticals they support
Assist in content development for annual North America Sales Kickoff and quarterly All Hands
Collaborate with social media, internal comms, and community engagement colleagues to ensure consistency and alignment in storytelling
Regularly track performance against quarterly and annual KPIs
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, ideally in public relations, journalism, communications, English, or media studies
Minimum of 10 years of work experience (in-house or agency) in communications, public relations, and/or journalism
Prior experience working in/with the technology industry is required.
Experience supporting communications (PR or Exec Communications) for C-suite level executives/clients
Strong writing skills - please provide 2 of your best writing samples when applying
Preferred Requirements:
The candidate for this role should be an excellent writer, project manager, and have an eye and attention for detail. A self-starter attitude is essential.
Ability to manage a multitude of projects at different facets in a fast-paced environment in a highly-organized fashion
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Excellent interpersonal skills – persistent optimism and an open, friendly temperament
Strong team player, behaves like an owner, and ultimately focused on delivering results with high standards
