Key Responsibilities:
- Handle client inquiries regarding employee benefits and individual insurance with professionalism, accuracy and in a timely manner
- Quote, communicate (internally and externally), and follow through processing of group renewals
- Proactively manage client retention efforts & embody a customer first mindset
- Provide administrative support, including handling agency license renewals, and aiding in office management items
- Assist clients with claims, policy changes, and general insurance-related questions
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient workflows and excellent service delivery
- Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory updates to provide informed guidance to clients

- Familiarity (or at minimum a strong passion to learn!) with insurance regulations and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint) and CRM systems

- Ability to assess client needs and provide appropriate solutions

- Strong analytical skills to review policies, claims, and renewals

Primary Job Duties:
- Claims Processing & Assistance: Guide clients through the claims process, ensuring all necessary documentation is submitted accurately and in a timely manner. Provide support in resolving claim-related issues and follow up with carriers as needed.
- Phone Answering & Triage: Handle incoming calls, direct inquiries to the appropriate team members, and provide initial assistance to clients regarding benefits, renewals, and policy details.
- Group Life & Disability Insurance Renewals: Act as the account manager for clients primarily covered under group life and disability insurance, overseeing the renewal process, preparing necessary documentation, and ensuring a smooth transition for clients.
- Individual Life & Disability Insurance Application Processing: Manage the application process for individual life and disability insurance policies, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission to carriers.
- Internal License Renewals: Track and coordinate internal licensing renewals, ensuring all necessary certifications and regulatory requirements are maintained and up to date.
