Summary: The Music Program Assistant will provide assistance to the music teachers to ensure a positive learning experience for students.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the teacher with routine duties, large group instruction, and small ensembles.
- Attend and assist with concerts, parades, festivals, solo and ensemble performances, and other school events. Participate in meetings and assemblies.
- Supervise students in hallways during passing time.
- Perform clerical duties such as collecting money, grading papers, filing, and processing correspondence.
- Assist students with medication, perform medically related tasks, contact parents when necessary, and care for sick/injured students.
- Facilitate fundraisers, including communication, money collection, and product distribution.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; must meet NCLB highly qualified standards.
- Music background and computer skills required.
- Effective communication skills to maintain positive rapport with parents and students.
- Piano skills highly preferred.
Schedule:
- School year, up to 6.5 hours per day.
Compensation: Level II - $14.41 - $16.87
