The Senior Designer is responsible for leading all design phases for interiors projects, establishes the vision, leads the team, and has extensive client interaction.Specific responsibilities will include:Develops overall design for projectDirects staff to complete design and technical drawingReviews design and technical drawing of other more junior designersReview of engineering drawings to ensure they comply with design solutionWorks with technical staff to resolve inconsistencies in drawingsResearches and selects fixtures and finishes to use for projectsProduces, reviews and finalizes space plans for projectsDevelops and delivers overall design and furniture packagesReviews and produces final cost estimatesManages overall design budgetManages the work of other DesignersOversees tasks and provide feedback on work productOrganizes and conducts client interviews to determine space needs and requirementsQualifications:Graduate of architecture or design school: equivalent experience may be substituted8+ years' experience in corporate interior design projectsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Extensive knowledge of design principles and aestheticsExtensive knowledge of space planning methodologyExpert sketching and rendering skillsExpert interior architecture detailing skillsExtensive knowledge of CDs and proceduresExtensive knowledge of building systems, codes and ADA requirementsExtensive knowledge of contract administrationIntermediate MS Office Suite skillsAdvanced Revit skillsExtensive presentation and graphic communicationDemonstrated ability to manage and lead staff through a combination of direct authority and subject matter expertiseWorking knowledge of budget preparation and proven ability to manage projects within budgetary constraintsPlease submit a portfolio or work examples with your application to b.knott@
