Position Summary/General Description:

A Promotions Manager coordinates and administers casino promotions and special events in order to advertise products and services as well as generate gaming, food & beverage (F&B) and retail revenues according to targeted promotions and special event objectives.

Assist in the development and supervision of promotions and special events at Route 66 Casino, restaurants, hotel and retail outlets.Coordinate and administer casino, restaurant, retail promotions and special events.Assist in researching, evaluating and recommending promotional proposals.Prepare promotional proposals for the Tribal Gaming Regulatory Authority (TGRA).Interact with all marketing departments and other departments throughout the company to create and execute high quality, professional promotions and special events that achieve a pre-determined return on investment (ROI).Develop and implement promotional calendars, to include maintaining budgets, staffing, and training under established timelines as described in the annual company Marketing plan.Participate in marketing meetings that target player development programs, identifying promotions and events that will entice customer satisfaction, loyalty and return visits.Recommend promotions based on results and customer data trends to ensure promotions calendar is delivering budgeted goals.In depth analysis of historical data regarding promotions/gaming trends and apply to current data to find or develop promotions which will maximize casino revenue.Communicate and execute promotional calendar and task needs in a timely and concise manner, to ensure promotional support, including providing detailed rules outlining the promotions, timeframes, assignments, and associated costs and delivery. Ensure staff are thoroughly aware of the promotion for smooth implementation and delivery.Work with marketing team to promote promotions through media resources.Work with vendors, booking agents and staff to develop special events and entertainment offerings.Assist in the completion and maintenance of promotion results.Adhere to departmental procedures, safety rules and health regulations, and Pueblo of Laguna Gaming Control Board/Tribal Gaming Regulatory Authority rules and regulations.Promote a clean, safe and healthy work environment for employees and guest. Promptly addresses hazards and reports all concerns to Casino Marketing Manager.Ensure that the operation of equipment, tools and materials are handled in a safe manner.Actively participate in LDC’s Management Capacity Program (MCP).Actively participate in Management Development Leadership Series (MDLS) yearly.Build relationships and loyalty with guests through sincere and meaningful interactions (e.g., learn guests’ names and preferences; connect with them individually and professionally; smile; make eye contact and verbally greet guests).Be a team player (e.g., work toward team goals and foster a collaborative and positive work environment; put the team first; assist coworkers; treat all coworkers with kindness, courtesy and respect; never engage in negativity; maintain openness to coaching, learning and improving; receptive to change and willingness to embrace challenges with team-spirit).Develop a thorough knowledge of services, room locations, amenities, surroundings, providing accurate directions, and information for guest inquiries about promotions and special events.At all times maintain a courteous, positive and professional working relationship with all LDC personnel and the general public (e.g., coworkers, clients and vendors).Work under pressure; maintain regular and punctual attendance including working odd and unusual hours, weekends and holidays.Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business or applicable field required; professional designation strongly preferred. Not less than 8 years relevant work experience may substitute Bachelor’s degree and professional designation when appropriate based on industry standard.Three to five years of relevant work experience in marketing required, preferably in casino or gaming operations.Strong writing and verbal skills.Public speaking skills required.Licensing & Certification:

None.Computer Equipment, Software, Machinery:

Proficient in basic computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Proficient with basic office equipment (e.g., computer, photocopying and faxing).

Essential Physical Requirements:

The job requires the ability to bend over, hear, sit, stand, talk, turn/twist, walk, see and repetitively use hands 51-100% of the time.The job requires the ability to balance/climb, crawl, crouch/stoop, kneel and reach overhead 25-50% of the time.The job requires the ability to push/pull, carry, lift, and slide/transfer 1-25 lbs. 51-100% of the time.The job requires the ability to push/pull, carry, lift, and slide/transfer 25-50+lbs. 25-50% of the time.Essential Mental Demands:

The job requires apportioning work among others, directing, and planning budgets.Work Environment (inside/outside):

This job is performed indoors with exposure to loud noises and fumes (e.g., smoke) and occasional exposure to outdoors, hot/cold temperatures and confined areas.Other Requirements:

Must pass a pre-employment alcohol/drug screen.Obtain and maintain a gaming license through the Pueblo of Laguna’s Gaming Control Board and must provide/maintain a valid New Mexico drivers’ license.Laguna Development Corporation and the Federal Government Bank Secrecy Act require any applicants and/or employees in this position to remain compliant by acquiring and/or maintaining a Title 31 Certification.
