PlaceTalent is currently seeking candidates to join our rapidly expanding team. We seek to hire a Sr. Media Technical Designer

for

our new manufacturing facility located in Adairsville, Georgia. The Manager must have technical

(printing)

skills and needs to be a person who takes care of the machine and the product and who listens to the noises and can spot abnormalities, etc. If you have a strong background in (manufacturing

organizing, and creating and managing workflows,

if you have this qualification, we want to hear from you.ResponsibilitiesBefore machine start up:Creation of printing workflow and design file management systemPrepare files to be printed during commissioning. This includes making adjustments on Photoshop such as, trimming, rotating, labeling, re-sizing, etc.Color matching and creation of master samples.Communicate with HQ design team and outsourced designers to ensure a smooth start up.Communicate with the machinery OEM for training, troubleshooting, adjusting, etc.Research of software and tools to help improve the workflow, color consistency, process flow.Participate in the setup of the light booth for color matching, including normal lights, self-calibrated monitors, shelves for storing master samples.After machine start up:Continue with the color matching process for new designs and colors.Implement color profiles.Ensure the digital files are in loaded in the correct direction and set on the right parameters (length, width, DPI, etc.)Workflow optimizationHelp ensure the color consistency of same designs made in different batches.Communicate and cooperate with Design Team to ensure a good level of mass production ramp-up.Cooperate with print and lacquering technicians for testing colors and making proofs in the production line.Working on next production orders ahead of time for an efficient change overOrganization of all digital files to ensure any changes and final master files are located safely and can be used any time.Adjustments on digital texture filesPerform regular quality checks to make sure the quality of the print is within standard.Adjustments to the rip software if needed.Requirements:Skills/Abilities:Willing to learn a new process and develop printing skills in the flooring industry.Responsible, organized, communicative and team player.Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to demonstrate.Must be able to clearly communicate in verbal and written communication with teammates and supervision.Adobe Photoshop is a must. Other design software is a plus.Rip software knowledge is a must.Colorgate is a plus.Execution of script/commands is a plus.Experience in flooring is a plus.Education and Experience:Bachelor's Degree or equivalentMinimum 7-10 years' experience in design and colorPhysical Requirements:Must be able to see colors correctlyMust be able to lift 50 pounds at times. This is a lot if a women, so 35lbs in more appropriateMust be willing and able to work in an LVT manufacturing environment.
