What You'll Do

National Philanthropic Trust (NPT) seeks a talented and passionate UX Specialist to join our growing Digital Product team. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of user-centered design principles, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creating intuitive and engaging experiences. This role will be responsible for optimizing user experience across NPT's GivingPoint platform and help craft experience for internally facing workflow applications as needed. The UX Specialist will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather user requirements, conduct research, and deliver technology-leveraging solutions that meet both user needs and business objectives.

Salary range: $80,000 - $85,000

Duties/Responsibilities:Develop and manage a user research process, including surveys, usability testing, and data analysis, to understand user needs and pain points.Craft wireframes, prototypes, and design mockups that effectively communicate user flows and functionality. Your designs should be clear, accessible, and follow best practices.Organize information through site maps, navigation structures, and content hierarchies. You'll also create interactive prototypes to enhance user engagement.Collaborate with developers and product teams to bring your designs to life seamlessly.Conduct usability testing to evaluate designs and gather feedback for continuous improvement.Champion accessibility best practices to ensure inclusive experiences for all users.Partner with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to understand project goals and deliver design solutions that meet both user needs and business objectives.Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and UX best practices. You'll share your knowledge with the team to foster a culture of continuous learning.Apply your UX expertise to various projects as needed.

What You Bring:

Portfolio showcasing UX design projects and proficiency with design tools (e.g., Sketch, Canva, Adobe XD, Figma).Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and usability best practices.Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and translating insights into actionable design solutions using various methods.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present and advocate for your design decisions.Familiarity with web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and experience designing accessible digital experiences is a plus.Familiarity with banking related digital experiences.

Education and Experience:

5-7 years of experience in UX design, interaction design, or a similar role.Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to move 15 pounds
