Job Summary:

The Associate Designer works closely with the Design Manager and internal teams to assist and contribute to the design and development cycle of each season.

Responsibilities:Assist with research design inspiration, artwork concepts and construction ideas.Interpret design concepts and prompts to create exciting styles that align with the seasons' overall vision and the Brand's identity.Help sketch and edit styles across all categories for every season.Make tech packs fully ready to be passed off to the Tech Designers.Generate and edit CADs and other assets for tech packs, as well as digital artwork.Generate and manage styles in PLM and communicate to all teams in the US and UK for all related matters.Brainstorm with the Design Manager to make design decisions; the Associate Designer's opinions will be taken into great consideration in assessing design solutions.Help research and develop collections that are relevant to the targeted market and industry climate. Analyze data received from cross-functional teams to inform design decisions.Lead in organizing all design digital assets as well as physical design tools and materials. Help manage samples during the entire development process.Represent Design and communicate with all other departments to ensure clear understanding and alignment throughout all seasonal collections and projects.Handle efficiencies with flexibility and steadfastness as the design and development process always comes with challenges, revisions and problem-solving needs. Must be willing to help wherever possible and finish all tasks with accuracy and speed.Qualifications

Associates degree + 2-4 years of industry experience, specializing in womenswearProficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator to create/color CADS and artworkKnowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, fabrics and working with factoriesKnowledge of PLM a plusAbility to sketch in Procreate a plusKnowledge of the Brand's history, identity and position in the industryStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to design exciting and fashion forward styles that fit the Brand's repertoireStrong research skills for design and fashion industry/market purposesExcellent communication skills with a focus on fostering teamworkPassion for the industry and creating great product
