Job Summary

Provides operational support for various education technology systems and infrastructure, including participating in the specification, acquisition and implementation of hardware and software systems.Ensures maximum availability and performance of various technology hardware, software, and systems, monitors incident reporting queues, investigates and resolves equipment failures, diagnoses operational problems.Develops and implements preventive maintenance procedures and participates in life cycle replacement on technology equipment.Installs, tests, and monitors applications software and hardware in computer systems.Provides technical training and support to junior support staff, units and departments, maintains knowledge, and evaluates emerging technologies.Performs inventory control and collaborates with outside vendors as appropriate.

EDUCATION

RequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED).PreferredAssociate's degree.WORK EXPERIENCE

Working Conditions / Demands

This position requires the ability to communicate effectively and to operate computers and other related technical equipment. The role is required to maintain and interact with computers and frequently move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. This role requires work from ladders and lifts at heights up to 20 feet and in close spaces. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
