Marketing Operations Manager

Operations, a Marketing Operations Manager drives the build and release or deployment of our messages by partnering with Technical, Product and Research teams. In addition, this role administers user messaging experiments to conduct and draw insights from strategies. This role is a hybrid of skill sets, which include: hands-on coding, experimentation instrumentation, messaging strategy thought-partner, and user advocate - leveraging expert internal resources when appropriate.

Responsibilities

Build, quality assure, and release or deploy messages

Conduct split and multivariate experiments, ensuring protocols are administered to minimize bias

Operate or participate in refinement forums to unlock solution opportunities with partners

Proactively monitor releases and deployments to ensure they're performing against the requirement

Execute audience queries

Operate in a stage-gated agile framework, and support globally distributed team members with quality assurance peer review

Implement and audit all analytic encoding to enable messaging effectiveness

Ensure all messages conform to legal or compliance requirements

Basic Qualifications

3+ years in marketing executing CRM/Lifecycle channel optimization and insights

Proficiency in SQL to build audiences

Expert in template scripting (e.g. AMPscript, Liquid)

Proficiency in CSS / HTML, with additional ability to extract assets from source files

Ability to operate within an agile framework via a global distributed team

Deep experience in email, push, sms, in-app messaging channels and platforms

Attention to detail, with an ability to identify issues and implement remedies

Ability to outline requirements and work on implementation with key stakeholders (e.g. engineers, consultants)

Self-motivated, with a drive to exceed user expectations and enable partner teams

Ensure all messages conform legal or compliance requirements

Ability to be on-call, when high priority business needs necessitate

Preferred Qualifications Experience in an operational role

Proficient specifically in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, and /or other lifecycle marketing platforms, ideally certified in one main platform

Experience in building lifecycle user journeys

Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Github, Airtable

Working knowledge of email and mobile channel best practices

Required Education Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
