Description

The Digital Designer position at Zak Designs creates digital assets used to communicate and market Zak products to licensors, buyers, and end-consumers. Primarily rendering through Keyshot. Area expert in matters of 3D output and will serve as an advisory role within the Studio in this area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following.

Creates high-quality, photorealistic renderings of all of Zak Design's range of products, with an emphasis on photo-real material rendering.Builds fully realized environments with props and realistic lighting for larger "lifestyle" shots.Works closely with designers, to ideate and visualize CMF proposals and conceptsUtilizes 3D model files from the factory and to create Keyshot files ready for others to begin using, thereby creating consistent output rendered images regardless of the artist using the model.Maintains and updates the Keyshot materials libraryStudies actual product and materials to ensure render accuracyCreate realistic digital PPS for licensor approvalsIn support of our international partners (SRI), this position will aid in creating 3D models to be utilized in virtual scenes for social media and other online resourcesDevelop strong working relationships with design counterparts to ensure a cohesive Zak brand point of viewStays current with industry trends and color through self-initiated researchInitiates opportunities for continuous improvementPerforms other related duties as assigned in support of the success of the Art Studio and teamRequirements

Education/Experience: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and at least one-year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents, style guides, software manuals, and related material. Ability to speak effectively with managers and co-workers.Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Other Skills and Abilities: Must be able to tactfully deal with various personalities throughout the company and deal effectively and professionally with internal and external customers. Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Keyshot, Strata Studio Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator, and have a constructive approach to challenges.
