Reporting to the Albany Med Health System Vice President for Communications and Marketing, the Senior Content Specialist will serve as the department's lead on the Columbia Memorial Health (CMH) campus in Hudson. They will serve as the primary point of contact on communications and marketing needs for CMH leadership and staff. He or she will hold responsibilities for both internal and external campus communications which include, but are not limited to, staff messaging, local advertising, community sponsorships, writing for publications, and website and social media management. The Director of Content Strategy will stay abreast of current trends and use data to inform decision making, measure performance and improve processes. They will also work closely with CMH management to ensure campus-based priorities are met in strategic alignment with the System's main Communications and Marketing office in Albany.

Salary Range: $54,846.00 - $87,754.00

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations or a related field or equivalent experience. He or she must have 2-5 years of experience in public relations, marketing, media relations, journalism, or a related field or job assignment that extensively utilizes communications skills.

Must have excellent communications (written and oral) and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to think strategically, coordinate projects, focus on details, meet deadlines, interact positively with public and internal audiences and multi-task. The ideal candidate will have experience writing a broad variety of public relations and marketing materials for various platforms and using those platforms effectively. A strong knowledge of AP Style is required.

He or she must also be a team player, a self-starter, and creative thinker who can work collaboratively and independently within a multilocational organization.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Supporting the Albany Med Health System's missions, vision, strategic plan and priorities.Serving on the Department's creative team.Overseeing the creation and maintenance of content for the web, social media and publications.Developing, cultivating and maintaining relationships with various departments/divisions/units within Albany Med to optimize the work of the Department.Managing the representation of CMH in brand identity and community visibility.Working with CMH and System leadership on advertising plans for key services.Developing unique story ideas that advance CMH and the Albany Med Health System.Maintaining an editorial calendar and coordinating projects that regularly provide engaging content.Evaluating requests for placement on appropriate platforms.Managing a budget and other operational responsibilities.Analyzing data to evaluate the success of initiatives and create strategic recommendations for digital platforms.Managing multiple projects at once and working well under deadlines.Continuing to grow as a communications and marketing professional by remaining informed about CMH, the Albany Med Health System, the health care field, and local and national news.Staying abreast of the latest trends in communications and public relations.Performing a variety of other duties as needed.
