Communications and Marketing Manager

Job Description

Purpose & Scope:

The Communications and Marketing Manager provides communications and marketing support to VHC Health. The Manager plays a key role in implementing all owned communication and marketing initiatives that are designed to inform the community’s image and awareness of the brand and enterprise-wide growth initiatives. The Communications and Marketing Manager will support the brand, public relations and marketing, and business development team and initiatives in:

Strategic Communication and Marketing Planning

Content Development and Management

Community Engagement and External Affairs

Brand Management

The Manager is experienced in design, photography, video production and editing for digital ads/campaigns. The Manager will write and edit content as needed, both with and without the collaboration of system departments, use analytics to make campaign improvements and support growth initiatives and measure effectiveness of activities. The Manager will implement operational structures to streamline internal and external communications to ensure clear, consistent, and strategic messaging across all channels.

The ideal candidate possesses strong creativity, problem-solving and decision-making skills and attention to detail. Must be well-versed in social, web and digital media best practices, able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment and excel at relationship-building with staff at all levels of the organization.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in communication, journalism, marketing, or in a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience is required.

Experience:

Three years of communications, marketing, digital (social, website) and content development experience is required.

Certification/Licensure:

None.

Other Qualifications:

Experience using a content management system like WordPress or Drupal Effective verbal and written communication skills

Strong understanding of digital best practices and analytics

Excellent organization, project and time-management skills. Ability to coordinate multiple priorities. Ability to use software including MS Office

Ability to provide outstanding customer service and instruction/training Preferred:

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and photo- and video-editing software Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
