Senior Manager Creative Strategy Offline Advertising

Regular, Exempt, Grade 3.1

Location: Hybrid (One Day a Week in Office, Adelphi, MD)

The Sr. Manager Creative Strategy, Offline Advertising will support strategic planning and execution of advertising creative in support of building the brand and driving qualified, informative and motivated inquiries to generate enrollments. This role ensures that all offline advertising assets are on-brand, compelling, accurate, on-time and within budget and successfully upholds all compliance and UMGC brand identity standards. It serves as the /Marketing point of contact for offline advertising creative strategy, and asset development. This team member will report to the Director, Creative Strategy and partner with university stakeholders to ensure overall messaging performance, efficiency and best practices by channel.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Lead the creative development for offline advertising assets including streaming and broadcast radio and TV spots, print and out of home advertising as well as promotion of UMGC gear.Leverage data to provide strategic guidance for messaging and design that follows industry best practices and reflects contemporary consumer behavior. Crafts smart, succinct and clear creative briefs and job requests for advertising assets.Use creative thinking and initiative to analyze creative performance metrics and make recommendations on messaging, design or features to improve effectiveness of content and/or campaigns.Provides recommendations for creative improvements and solutions to marketing challenges. Works with leadership to conduct routine qualitative and quantitative advertising testing and research to ensure the messaging and creative approach resonates with target audiences.Strategically and efficiently manage projects through the Marketing Services team and external agencies to optimize and responsibly leverage those resources.Acts as a project leader to ensure projects are thoroughly scoped, monitors timelines and budgets to ensure all are completed on-time and within budget.Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with the university media-buying team, creative staff, subject matter experts as well as external agencies to ensure the highest level of customer support, service quality, and strategic execution.Supervises contingent (part-time) staff as needed.Produces and manages internal and external reports, reference files, presentations, archives, and other administrative duties as directed.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.Minimum Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, advertising, or a related field.5-7 years offline creative strategy experienceWorking knowledge of offline creative production, media placement, strategic marketing and brand management.Strong organizational, grammar, communication and interpersonal skills.Solid computer proficiency (MS Office, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, etc.).Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.The ability to effectively communicate and to successfully maintain highly collaborative and productive working relationships with clients and external venders or constituents.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Highly attentive to detail.Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in degree in business, marketing, communications, advertising, or a related field.Experience in an advertising agency or marketing firmExperience in a higher education environment.
