Position Summary:Reporting to the Executive Director, the Media Relations Manager will serve as the chapter marketing expert, developing and implementing all collateral, digital and paid and/or donated media needs across Central New York.This position is part of a larger regional strategic communications team and a nationwide effort.This position is grant-funded.Responsibilities:Essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Collaborate with the Executive Director, VP of Development and Sr. Program Director to develop, execute and evaluate community marketing communications initiatives that complement the Alzheimer's Association national strategic plan.Promote strategic initiatives across marketing communications channels, including:Maintaining digital platforms to maximize brand awareness and ensure a positive user experience;Writing and editing content for weekly e-newsletter;Resizing of existing creative on provided design platforms;Leveraging and/or developing print and digital collateral as necessary to reach target audiences.

Assure compliance with all Alzheimer's Association branding policies, procedures, standards and applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:Degree in relevant fieldFive years' experience in marketing communications required.Experience in collateral development and media buying required.Experience with healthcare communications is ideal.

Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesUnderstanding of the importance of consistent branding and messaging within a mission-based organization.Superior written and verbal skills.Creative thinking to ensure fresh approaches to annual and evergreen opportunities.Solution-oriented with strong decision making skills, demonstrating effective cost/benefit analysis.Management skills, including the ability to set milestones against goals, organize projects, establish and manage budgets and develop work processes.Must possess a valid driver's license, good driving record, access to a reliable vehicle and proof of automobile insurance.Ability/willingness to travel, including some evenings and weekends if needed.
