At MMGY we inspire people to go places.Position Overview Looking for an experienced Destination Marketer with excellent knowledge of North American Travel Trade. With established offices in Los Angeles and New York City, our division develops strategic plans for our clients across consumer marketing, public relations, social media, and travel trade engagement. The Senior Account Director is responsible for leading the day-to-day activities and relationships of either one large tourist board client or a portfolio of clients. We are seeking a strong leader who thrives under pressure, and who is an expert at cultivating strong business partnerships with clients and travel industry partners. This individual must be strategic, highly-organized, and driven to achieve.Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Daily management of account teams across tourist board clientsDevelop and facilitate multi-year strategic marketing plans that lead to destination visitation growth for our tourist board clientsApply knowledge of travel trade engagement, public relations, partnership & consumer marketing, social media, and event management to all client activitiesLead team and client meetingsEstablish and manage client budget and achieve agency billing goalsIntegrate the efforts of all team members to optimize client plan resultsCultivate team mentality and build strong mutual trust between client and agencyDevelop industry partnerships for the benefit of the client and agencyOversee client KPI goals to ensure targets are metManage staff resources, time allocations, and annual reviewsDomestic and international travel is requiredExperience Requirements

10+ years of marketing agency or tourist board experience at the Director level or higher

Agency experience must include travel and tourism clients

Experience in tourism/travel industry requiredExperience managing direct reportsExperience in working for or managing international tourist boards strongly desiredStrategic marketing experience strongly desiredExcellent understanding of marketing metricsExcellent understanding of travel trade distribution and partnershipsMust be highly effective at mentoring junior staff membersStrong leadership skills and ability to establish trust and partnershipsExcellent phone, verbal, and written communication skillsSenior-level presentation skills are a mustProofreading and attention to detailComfortable working under tight deadlinesFamiliarity with Microsoft Office softwareEducation Requirements
