Job Title : Design DirectorLocation : Greater Chattanooga Area (3 days on-site)Salary : $140,000 - $180,000, depending on experienceSkills : Product Development, Flooring, Textile, Design, Management, Commercial DesignAbout Company / Opportunity :We are a global leader in innovative flooring and surface solutions. We are currently seeking a dynamic and driven Design Director to oversee and manage all aspects of Commercial Soft Surface Product Design and Development. This role is crucial in ensuring that design direction and aesthetic intent are achieved, as guided by the VP of Design. The successful candidate will also lead and inspire our creative team to meet on-time launch objectives.Responsibilities :Spearhead design projects for various commercial spaces, including offices, schools, and more.Work intuitively with the VP of Design to implement and realize the strategic design direction and intent.Execute comprehensive Product Design and Development plans across all platforms.Represent the company, conduct market research, gather feedback, deliver customer product presentations, and participate in industry design and trade shows.Must-Have Skills :Bachelor's degree, preferably in Textile Design or a closely related field.A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in commercial design.Extensive expertise in flooring design.Nice to Have Skills :Prior experience in product development.Experience in managing and leading creative teams.Background in soft surface design.
