ABOUT USFor more than 16 years, About-Face delivered effective media-literacy programming for teen girls around body image, activism, and mental health. During THIS reinvention, we aim to bring that promising impact to exponentially more teens and kids through an exciting new program. We are a small staff, so the Marketing Manager/Director role offers significant responsibility, but we reject overwork as a badge of honor. The Marketing Manager/Director will work toward clear goals and engage in open, candid, and respectful communication to support their success.Requirements:5-10 years of full-time-equivalent experience leading small-to-medium marketing programs and teams.Strong writing skills.Thrives on a team co-developing new projects, systems, and strategies.Preferred experience:Leading marketing programs geared toward parents/guardians/caregivers of children.Building and managing non-profit marketing programs for smaller organizations with a drive for growth.Engagement in content marketing development, its execution, and measurement.Optimizing digital and social media marketing in alignment with strategic priorities, including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Threads.Proficiency in organic search engine optimization (SEO) best practices.Familiarity with influencer marketing programs.Familiarity with paid search marketing tools and measurement.Engagement in press strategy, developing press lists, and pitching media, including working with public relations professionals.Duties and responsibilities:Co-develop and execute the organization’s marketing strategy in preparation to launch a new digital wellness course targeting parents of pre-teens and teens.Plan and build the brand’s owned media presence, including the website, blog, and social media platforms.Refine and execute the organization’s content marketing plan by building out the organization’s editorial calendarProduce marketing content – blogs, emails, social media, and more.Develop marketing materials that can also be used in fundraising.Support Executive Director’s thought leadership communications.Manage press strategy and relations in preparation for program launch and related to the Executive Director’s thought leadership.Create feedback systems including analytics and performance frameworks for paid, earned, and owned channels and platforms, and the deployment of surveys and intelligence capabilities.Develop and manage a marketing budget.Cultivate partnerships with parent groups, media-literacy groups, schools, PTAs, and more.Develop a parent and child advisory committee and parent ambassador program.Hire and manage additional marketing staff including a Marketing Assistant/Associate.Work with the Executive Director to develop quarterly goals using pre-defined metrics to ensure program success.START DATESept 1-15, 2024APPLICATION DEADLINEAugust 16, 2024EDUCATIONNo educational requirementLOCATION: REMOTEWork must be performed within the United States.ASSOCIATED GEOLOCATIONSan Francisco, CA, United StatesTwice-yearly team gatherings in person in San Francisco.EXPERIENCE LEVEL5-10 years of marketing experienceSALARY AND BENEFITSThis is a full-time employee position. Salary is $75,000-125,000 depending on experience and skills.
