Our team collaborates with a number of departments within the publishing divisions. Works closely with publicity and sales to set up author tours at bookstores, libraries, and book festivals. Identifies new opportunities for authors. Collaborates with customer service and sales reps to ensure that events run smoothly. Works with VP, Account Marketing on a variety of marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Acts as a liaison between sales department and various publicity departments.Works with sales reps and bookstores, festivals and libraries to solicit author tours.Develops, maintains, and strengthens relationships with accounts and collaborates with publicity and sales reps.Arranges visits between bookseller partners, publicity, and members of the sales team.Manages additional account marketing projects as needed, including ongoing marketing initiatives at independent bookstores and various consumer-facing shows.Manages first-edition club process.Proactively troubleshoots author tour issues.Attends sales conferences, trade conferences, and marketing meetings.Manages various key projects for the department related to marketing and ongoing programsCollaborates with field reps and sales management on retail sales initiatives

Requirements:• Minimum 4 years of trade publishing or bookstore experience, preferably in sales, publicity, or events• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment• Excellent organizational and follow-up skills• Strong attention to detail• Ability to effectively problem solve• Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook• Proficiency with Excel including intermediate skills and the ability to create and manage workflow using advanced functions and formulas (e.g. VLOOKUP and similar)• Familiarity with Edelweiss• Knowledge of multiple bookselling channels

The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $73,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to company results.
