Job Summary

Join our dynamic marketing, communications, and public affairs team at Huntsman Cancer Institute. As a Marketing Senior Manager, you will play a vital role in shaping marketing strategies and campaigns that impact lives across the Mountain West. Work in close collaboration with key stakeholders including the University of Utah, University of Utah Health, Huntsman Cancer Foundation, and others to align efforts and strategies. Implement campaigns to promote brand strategy and service line growth with detailed analytical approach to assess return on investment. Review trends and effectiveness of efforts and implement new initiatives designed to elevate the brand and impact of Huntsman Cancer Institute.

The Marketing Senior Manager will outline and oversee branding and marketing efforts for Huntsman Cancer Institute to advance strategic goals while enhancing Huntsman Cancer Institute’s reputation locally, regionally, and nationally. The Senior Manager will develop a solid grasp of cancer research trends and future directions. This position will be a key partner in clinical campaigns to drive growth and engage with our target audiences effectively. The ability to take an analytical approach that leverages data insights to refine strategies and adapt to market changes is essential.

Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of marketing strategies at Huntsman Cancer Institute.

Conduct market research and oversee brand positioning efforts and track outcomes.

Manage segmentation strategies and utilize data systems

Utilize data to inform marketing decisions and track key performance indicators.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement strategies.

Additional Qualifications

Proven experience in health care marketing preferred, oncology experience a plus.

Familiarity with content management systems, CRM platforms, and digital analytics tools.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related area of assignment or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Four to six years of progressively more responsible management experience. Background knowledge of assigned department’s area of specialization in order to analyze, plan and draw conclusions for recommendations to superiors. Demonstrated leadership skills in planning and directing employees and processes in order to effectively monitor and develop subordinates and to ensure the smooth operation of department.

Master’s degree in a related area may be preferred.

Bachelor’s or advanced degree in communications, marketing, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in health care marketing, with a history of progressive responsibility.

Demonstrated success in brand-building and volume growth, particularly in oncology.

Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
