About the Team

Join Walmart Connect Product Group as a Group Director of Product Management for Advertising Platforms

In this role, you'll lead teams in creating cutting-edge omni-channel advertising solutions. These platforms enable Walmart suppliers to reach customers with targeted ads while helping shoppers find products that enhance their shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development of AI-powered advertising platforms for Walmart's retail media business.

Define the product vision and strategic direction for our Display, Sponsored Products, and in-store ad experiences.

Foster a strong team culture and motivate teams to build innovative and industry-leading advertising platforms.

You’ll make an impact by:

Driving the vision and strategy for WMC core platforms including sponsored search, performance display and video.

Defining and communicating overall platform strategy, prioritization and timelines for Performance Display, Sponsored Search, Video platforms including buying interfaces, auction dynamics, customer relevancy & targeting and reporting interfaces.

Building and launching products designed for specific market segments (Head, Emerging, Marketplace, Agencies, etc.)

Ensuring tools are built and scaled to support needs of internal teams.

Operating with a product mindset to connect internal users to core platforms such as account management hub and Media planning recommendation engine.

Collaborating with Data Insights, Engineering and Customer Experience, internal advertising sales teams and Enterprise teams to define our omni-channel Ad experiences and scale our platforms.

Conducting industry and competitive analysis to understand the emerging trends in advertising industry to identify new ad product opportunities, conduct customer research to define customer segments and identify product discovery opportunities.

Providing overall product direction by developing and managing product roadmaps, analyzing customer insights data to drive actionable initiatives, determine rollout strategy, and manage risks.

Building relationships with Business partners to align business goals, communicating, and prioritizing product roadmaps, and gaining buy-in from executive leadership.

History of successfully attracting, building, leading, and mentoring a dedicated and diverse team of 100+ Product Managers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required/MBA a plus.

15+ years in Product Management in Advertising, Display and Sponsored products domain expertise is required. Retail industry experience is a plus.

10+ years of experience building and managing a team of high performing product managers.

5+ years current experience as a Senior Leader leading other leaders. VP or Sr Director level experience and titles.

Quantitative or technical background is preferred.

Sound business judgment as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements, and prioritize.

Must be able and willing to think and act strategically and tactically.

Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, proven ability to influence others internally and externally.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related area and 15 years’ experience in product management.

17 years’ experience in product management or related area.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related area and 14 years’ experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products.

Supervisory experience.

Knowledge of accessibility best practices and experience in creating inclusive digital experiences.
