We are looking for a leader with a proven ability to shape and deliver an effective editorial strategy that helps educate and engage colleagues, and continue to build a team of creative and innovative storytellers across internal channels.The Executive Director, Editorial Strategy and Internal Digital Platforms will lead the team in developing an omnichannel communications strategy designed to help colleagues understand CVS Health's enterprise strategy and their role in the company's success; producing compelling feature content that reflects the company's culture and the innovative work of its colleagues; understanding how to connect with a diverse colleague base in a fast-paced environment; and working with internal partners to deliver information simply and clearly, in a variety of formats.Our ideal candidate has a clear understanding of brand journalism and storytelling as well as working experience in implementing and scaling in-house creative capabilities, and working with external communications partners to tell a holistic story.Core ResponsibilitiesSet the editorial vision and oversee the team in developing and managing the enterprise editorial calendar.Develop an internal “newsroom” approach in shaping a content strategy that promotes coordinated enterprise messages and stories, and captures the attention of busy colleagues in a fast-paced environment.Guide the team in coming up with fresh, creative approaches to internal storytelling, working effectively with other internal content producers and agency partners to produce content that educates, engages and inspires colleagues.Use data to inform and evolve content strategy and channels, and put the needs of key audiences at the center.Have a passion for simplifying key information for colleagues and making it easy to find.Keep up to date on best practices and leading-edge digital tools for colleague communications, and be a champion for evolving the way we deliver and package information, and how we track and share metrics with key internal audiences.Partner with key communications and business team members to ensure major moments, events and announcements are properly supported.Act as the editorial marketing expert, providing processes, guidelines, and direction to all colleagues, contributing to any playbook or creative excellence programs.Oversee and maintain quality and consistency of voice, tone and vision across all stories and internal channels, ensuring content is on brand and aligns with the enterprise mission and priorities.Required QualificationsExperience leading editorial teams in a fast-paced, demanding, deadline-oriented environment.Track record of creating compelling, consumer-quality feature content that engages audiences (e.g., visual storytelling, innovative video, podcasts, animation, infographics).Exceptional writer and editor who can adapt style and tone for various audiences and subjects.Experience developing measurable communications plans designed to support enterprise corporate strategies and priorities.Strong knowledge of internal digital platforms (e.g., intranets, mobile apps, social collaboration).Experience and comfort multi-tasking during high-pressure situations.Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.Desire to work in a creative, demanding, competitive but highly rewarding environment.At least 15 years of professional experience (colleague communications, journalism and/or PR agency).COVID RequirementsCVS Health requires its Colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, or religious belief that prevents them from being vaccinated.If you are vaccinated, you are required to have received at least one COVID-19 shot prior to your first day of employment and to provide proof of your vaccination status within the first 10 days of your employment.
