Job Summary

Tulare City School District is now accepting applications for the position of:*MANAGER (DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS).

This position is 12 months (260 days), 8 hours per day Classified Management position.Salary range $70,579 - $85,978 annually plus applicable fringe benefits.

SUMMARY:Under the supervision of the Coordinator, Technology Services, manages, supports and enhances internal and external communications initiatives to improve how the district connects with employees, parents, and community members utilizing digital and social media communication and marketing efforts.

In this role, this person collaborates closely with other staff to achieve the District's priorities and expectations. Working in partnership with administrators, this person manages the District's online presence, focusing on online image management and developing strategies to enhance and strengthen the online brand. This person oversees and improves the District's social media presence, utilizing platforms like Facebook to further the District's mission and engage with stakeholders. They also maintain the District's website, ensuring it is up-to-date and effective. They assist in developing policies related to social media and provide consultation to schools and school organizations on these matters. Additionally, they regularly shoot, edit, and post-produce digital photographs and videos of District and individual school events, sharing this original content on appropriate platforms. Their role also includes producing marketing materials for both print and online use. They support school, departmental, and program staff in developing and implementing communication strategies for various programs and events. Additionally, they perform other duties as assigned by management, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to the District's needs.

Requirements / Qualifications

PLEASE PROVIDE PROOF OF THE FOLLOWING TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:-High School Diploma or equivalent-Valid California Driver's License

Comments and Other Information

EXPERIENCE:*Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, digital media, graphic/arts/design, marketing or a related field preferred. At least two years of related work experience recommended.*Experience with desktop and web publishing software, video editing systems, digital photography and related software.
