Graphic Designer

ABOUT THIS POSITION

Summary:The Graphic Designer is responsible for producing and managing a wide range of printed and digital graphic design materials. The Graphic Designer is a conceptual thinker and clear communicator with strong project management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects at once and demonstrated creativity in meeting design goals.

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following.

Other duties may be assigned.

1. Design and produce compelling print and digital marketing materials, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines.

2. Meets clients' communication objectives through a thorough knowledge of typography and design to create concepts and comprehensive layouts and advising the clients of appropriate options to achieve their communication objectives.

3. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative concepts for projects, initiatives and campaigns to increase the brand awareness and affinity for Colorado Mesa University, CMU Tech and Montrose Campus.

4. Contributes to a work environment that encourages the university's values of love, dignity, courage, humility, resilience, curiosity and power.

5. Support multiple design projects, meeting deadlines and budget requirements.

6. Research and implement current design trends and how to incorporate AI into design process.

7. Ability to manage projects within budget; request and review print estimates; supply files to printer; review press proofs and attend press checks as needed.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

• Preferred at least three years of experience creating and managing a high volume of design projects for print and digital

• Expert knowledge/full proficiency required in: Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat Professional.

• Knowledge of and competency in Microsoft Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Canva and content management system experience.

Salary:
