Our Mission, Vision, and Values guide the way we do business.**Are you ready for your next career challenge?**The National Security Sector at Leidos has an opening for a Technical Developer/Writer at Fort Eisenhower GA. The Technical Developer/Writer will perform a variety of writing, editing, and research duties in connection with the preparation of technical manuals and technical publications on the theory, installation, operation, and maintenance of a variety of complex electronics equipment or systems.**Primary Responsibilities** :+ Performs structured authoring utilizing extensible markup language (XML) editing software.+ Performs structured authoring utilizing US Army Interactive Authoring and Display Software (IADS).+ Work with Computer Aided Design (CAD) programs.+ Utilization of the Army writing style of technical manuals to clearly translate information necessary for the development of TM work packages concerning various Army communication system programs.+ Interprets and apply requirements of military standards, guidelines and regulatory publications such as MIL-STD 40051 AND MIL-STD HANDBOOK 1222F/G.+ Work with subject-matter experts to remove and install items on equipment; gathers system operation and maintenance information, as well as system specification data, while documenting processes, taking photographs, creating and maintaining spreadsheets, and accounting for hardware and parts.+ Skillfully writes instructional material, and procedural steps using correct order of operation, necessary to show operators and maintainers how to complete maintenance and operation tasks.+ Work with graphics design personnel to communicate requirements needed (both verbally and through photos and drawings) to develop detailed graphics with callouts and other visual aids necessary to successfully complete tasks within TMs.+ Collaborates with team members and effectively work well with representatives of different organizations to perform periodic in progress review (IPR) and verification and validation (V&V) events for assigned systems, as well as work independently, both onsite and remotely.+ Gathers feedback from stakeholders and manufacturers to improve technical documentation.+ Communicate with supervisors and peers to share and request information.+ Remains proactive with identifying barriers and/or problems that may potentially interfere with meeting established deadlines.**Basic Qualifications**+ BS degree and 3 years of DoD technical writing or Army training and 4+ years of experience with technical writing for the DoD.+ Active Secret Security Clearance.+ Experience with Army technical writing and/or DoD technical writing.+ Experience with Army Interactive Authoring and Display Software (IADS).+ Experience with CAD.+ Ability to travel up to 10% - CONUS/OCONUS.+ Flexibility and patience in order to work in a high demand/volume work environment with changing priorities.+ Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team.**Preferred Qualifications**+ Current or prior experience working on the Warfighter Readiness program.EIO 2024**Original Posting Date:**2024-08-12While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.**Pay Range:**Pay Range $49,400.00 - $89,300.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
