Job Description

The Director Product Management for Marketing and Loyalty is a key member of the Nordstrom Product Management team, championing customer experience evolution by delivering key customer marketing and loyalty features and functionality for Nordstrom across all platforms. Product Management is responsible for making sure we build the right products and features for our customers and business units. To accomplish that, product leaders plan the product roadmap and prioritize the applicable technology backlog, lead product discovery, and measure and communicate results of the feature portfolio in production, all through excellent collaboration across other Product Management teams, Engineering and Business Stakeholder groups.This is a highly visible role and requires ongoing partnership to transform how Nordstrom evolves and scales offerings for existing Nordstrom customers. In order to succeed, candidates will need to be collaborative, technical, and results-oriented, while having deep expertise in building marketing and loyalty capabilities and experiences.A day in the life…You will oversee the product strategy for Nordstrom’s marketing, loyalty, and advertising verticals, all while requiring minimal management support and building strong trust with stakeholders:Develops roadmap strategy, vision, business benefits, and prioritization of goalsPartners with UX, Engineering, and Research on feature designPartners closely with business stakeholders, down to the CMO level, to deeply understand the needs of the businessCollaborates with peers and leaders across the enterprise to solicit needs, define vision and ensure outcomes align with enterprise priorities and goalsBuilds excellent teams through outstanding hiring decisions and direct feedback that supports employee growthPartners with technology teams to deliver key features and functionality that enhance the customer experience across Nordstrom channelsConducts data-driven analyses to continuously maintain a pulse on performance and the state of the businessMonitors & identifies customer needs, staying current on industry standards/trends and responds by making adjustments to the user experience and product roadmapsReviews operating practices and procedures, optimizing for efficiency and speed of results deliveryPresents compelling strategies, plans and updates to all levels of the organization, including executive leadership on a regular basis, influencing through meeting presence and the creation of strategy documentsYou own this if you have…8+ years’ experience or equivalent with 5+ years of management experience required, specifically in product management with technology, marketing, or ecommerce company preferredUndergrad Degree related to Marketing and/or TechnologyAbility to inspire others, including demonstrated experience managing and leading strong teamsTechnical background and understanding of software development principlesA strong marketing background—you can speak the language of marketersKnowledge of a/b testing and product experimentation fundamentalsFamiliarity with customer data platforms (e.g. Treasure Data and similar competitors) and audience segmentationFamiliarity with advertising media platforms (e.g. Criteo, Google Analytics 4, and similar competitors)Familiarity with architectural and implementation best practices for loyalty platformsExperience running or designing products for loyalty programsExperience running advertising platforms or programsAbility to build relationships cross-functionally with multiple teams from areas such as Analytics, Engineering and User ExperienceDemonstrated ability to achieve strategic goals in an innovative and fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal, oral and written communication skillsWe’ve got you covered…Our employees are our most important asset and that’s reflected in our benefits. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.Washington: $200,500 - $332,000 Annually. This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses.
