An associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in Communications, English, Public Relations, Social Media, Digital Communications, or similar degree, substitutes for two, four, or five years.Duties Description Under the direction of the Business Systems Analyst 2, SG-23, the incumbent will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and enhancing the Workers’ Compensation Board’s (Board) paper and online forms and external and internal websites. Duties include, but are not limited to:• Create and maintain fillable forms in Adobe InDesign and Acrobat.• Maintain log for form update requests and status.• Create barcodes and submit for testing with scanning vendor.• Create, track, and review form translation requests with the Language Access Coordinator and translation vendor.• Monitor Forms Department mailbox.• Troubleshoot technical issues with forms.• Participate in meetings and provide recommendations for form design.• Develop field requirements and field validations for online forms.• Maintain a close relationship with Board staff who oversee content to ensure that updates are done regularly.• Work with ITS to develop and perform pre-deployment testing for online HTML forms.• Post updated forms and corresponding filing information on the Board's website.• Assist with usability evaluations for forms and websites.• Test web pages and applications for WCAG accessibility compliance.• Review Siteimprove reports and identify and fix issues.• Promote plain language and best practices.• Develop/update Java Server pages (JSPs), interface design, ensure adherence to accessibility, usability, and established policies and standards.• Identify and add appropriate mark-up for machine translation of web pages.• Assist with updates to Paid Family Leave website.• Test WebNY code updates to Drupal platform for impacts on Paid Family Leave site.• Assist with photo research to identify and optimize images for use as hero images.Preferred Qualifications:• Experience working with SharePoint Online.• Ability to optimize PDF documents and websites for accessibility.• Experience developing field requirements and field validations for online forms.• Experience developing and performing pre-deployment testing for online html forms.• Knowledge of how to develop adaptive forms using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).• Experience with Java Server pages (JSPs), HTML and CSS, interface design.Additional Comments Please Note: A hybrid telecommuting schedule can be discussed with the hiring manager during the interview.The Workers’ Compensation Board (Board) is an equal opportunity employer.
