Communications and Events Coordinator (Open Rank – Intermediate or Senior Level) - 34494 University Staff**Description****University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus****Department: Office of Diversity Equity Inclusion and Community Engagement****Job Title: Communications and Events Coordinator (Open Rank – Intermediate or Senior Level)****Position #:00824639 – Requisition #:34494****Job Summary:****Key Responsibilities:**Communications Responsibilities:+ Collaborates with key ODEICE staff to develop and disseminate the ODEICE monthly newsletter, the LGBTQ+ Hub bi-weekly newsletter, and the weekly Community and Campus Connections newsletter.+ Social Media Management, creating meaningful and engaging content on social media platforms, including writing and editing social media posts, improving engagement, and promoting social media campaigns+ Ensures social media content adheres to standards and policies for content release+ Produces and maintains a social media content calendar+ Report quarterly analytics on social media accounts+ Develop, enhance, and maintain program-specific websites. This includes regularly updating existing content, generating new content, creating blogs, and cross-linking to other sites, events, and news+ Identify and pitch story ideas to the University-level communications teamMarketing/Events Responsibilities:+ Create and execute meetings and events to advance strategic objectives, in close collaboration with the Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Community Engagement (ODEICE).+ Coordinate event and meeting logistics and ensure all vendors, materials, and staff are aligned with project management plans+ Coordinate vendors for catering, event décor, audio-visual, event-related design and printing projects, entertainment, etc., working within established event budgets+ Organize ODEICE staff members, students, volunteers, speakers, entertainers, and vendors in the planning and execution of events+ Manage, track, and report out on the event budgets+ Transport event supplies to off-site events+ Assist in the physical set-up of events which may include moving tables, chairs, and boxes other duties as required+ Management of on-site production of the event and post-event details+ Coordination and management of event volunteers (including training)+ Create briefing materials for leadership and colleagues+ Conceptualize, procure, track, and maintain inventory of premiums+ Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks and special projects as requested**Conditions of Employment:**+ Lift/push/pull up to 25 lbs.+ To transport event supplies to off-site events, this role requires a personal vehicle or the ability to drive a vehicle.
